January 26, 2011 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Dayton Gems News Release
The Dayton Gems have announced that all kids 12-years-old and under in attendance for the game on Wednesday, February 2, will eat for free.
All kids will receive a voucher for a free hotdog, small soda and small popcorn when they walk through the gate. This will be the second time this season the Gems will be sponsoring a "Kids Eat Free" promotion.
Coffee Movers Inc., the official sponsor of the game, will also be handing out free items for the evening.
The first 250 fans through the gate will receive a free mini-megaphone. During the game, Coffee Movers Inc., will also have a raffle for a $50 gift certificate to the Dayton Gems Team Shop.
Anthony Despain will be doing a ceremonial puck drop for Coffee Movers Inc. prior to the start of the game.
Also conducting a ceremonial puck drop will be Austin Groff from Twin Valley South. The senior basketball player made a backward no-look three-pointer as time expired and has been a youtube.com sensation ever since.
In honor of his shot, Groff will conduct the puck drop by tossing the puck over his head.
The Kettering Medical Center is proud to be the official title sponsor of the Gems for the 2010-11 season.
