Key Returns for Heat Spark Win over Iowa

March 19, 2016 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Stockton Heat News Release

Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Heat defeated the Iowa Wild Friday night by a score of 5-1 - thanks in no small part to a few key players returning to their lineup and having big games. Derek Grant earned first star honors, as he netted a pair of goals in his first game back from a broken jaw that held him out for nearly six weeks, while Kenny Agostino returned from his emergency call-up to Calgary and earned three points in his first game back in a Heat sweater. Defenseman Dustin Stevenson also returned from his lower-body injury and contributed to a strong team-defensive performance in front of goaltender Kevin Poulin. The Stockton Heat will now hit the road for what will be their longest road trip of the season, beginning tomorrow night in Bakersfield when they take on the Condors.
