Keven Veilleux Issues Apology

WHEELING,WV - The Wheeling Nailers, ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, release today the formal apology of forward Keven Veilleux.

"During Sunday's game with the South Carolina Stingrays I used inappropriate language toward Scooter Vaughn," said Veilleux. "I have contacted Scooter and apologized to him directly. I also want to apologize to the South Carolina Stingrays, to the Wheeling Nailers, to the Wheeling community and to all of our fans. I am responsible for my actions and am truly sorry. I promise that I will learn from this experience."

Veilleux will serve a 10 game suspension from the ECHL for his role in the incident. The Wheeling Nailers Organization supports the actions taken by the league in this matter. Wheeling Nailers management, staff and players will have no further comment on the incident.
