Bridgeport, CT - The Long Island Ducks defeated the Bridgeport Bluefish 1-0 on Friday night in the second of a four-game series at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard.
Cody Puckett's RBI single in the fourth inning proved to be the difference in a pitchers' duel. Long Island starter Bruce Kern (1-1) struck out eight over seven and one-third innings, yielding four hits. Jonathan Albaladejo (5-3) took the hard luck loss, surrendering one run on five hits with six strikeouts over six and one-third innings. In the ninth, Todd Coffey earned his 10th save.
Delta Cleary Jr. led the Ducks with two hits. Fehlandt Lentini and Blake Tekotte each added a double.
