Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Kernels list of promotions and special events for the 2017 season continues to grow as today, the Kernels announce their 2017 Gate Giveaway Dates.
The first gate giveaway is Saturday, April 8th as all fans will receive a free Kernels 2017 Magnet Schedule, courtesy of Wells Fargo. The remainder of the 2017 Gate Giveaway Schedule is below with all giveaways for the first 1,000 fans through the gates, except where noted: April 14: 25th Anniversary Kernels T-Shirt Giveaway (500 fans) April 21: Reusable Baseball Shopping Bag Giveaway (500 fans) April 23: Kernels Team Photo Giveaway (500 fans) May 5: Guardians of the Galaxy 2 T-Shirt Giveaway May 7: Perfect Game Kernels Baseball Card Set Giveaway June 9: Star Wars T-Shirt Giveaway June 16: Cars 3 T-Shirt Giveaway June 17: Mike Trout Bobblehead Giveaway June 18: Goodwill Foam Finger Giveaway July 4: Military Heroes Baseball Card Set Giveaway July 7: Iowa State Cap Giveaway July 8: Paw Patrol Tote Bag Giveaway July 21: UNI T-Shirt Giveaway July 22: Harry Potter Time Turner Giveaway August 4: Electronic Engineering Superhero Cap Giveaway August 11: Mr. Shucks Bobblehead Giveaway August 12: Beach Night Sunglasses Giveaway August 13: Kernels Team Photo Giveaway (1,500 fans) August 18: Bob Brooks Bobblehead Giveaway August 21: Solar Eclipse Viewing Glasses Giveaway September 1: Fan Appreciation Giveaway 2017 season ticket packages and 10-game coupon books are on sale now at the stadium, or by calling the Kernels at (319) 363-3887. Individual game tickets go on sale Monday, March 13th at 10 AM.
The 2017 Kernels arrive in Cedar Rapids on Monday, April 3rd and your first chance to meet the new team is on Tuesday, April 4th as part of 'Meet the Kernels Night'. The Kernels open the 2017 Midwest League season on the road at Beloit on Thursday, April 6th. The Kernels home opener is on Saturday, April 8th at 5:05 PM against Beloit.
