LANSING, Mich. - The Lansing Lugnuts, in conjunction with the Toronto Blue Jays, announced that outfielder Kenny Wilson has been promoted to Dunedin (A-Advanced - Florida State League). In a corresponding move, the Lugnuts received outfielder Nick Baligod from Vancouver (Short-Season - Northwest League).
The 22-year-old Wilson was sizzling in July, batting .320 with a .412 on-base percentage and stealing 18 of 19 bases. Overall, he recorded a .252 average in 94 games for the Lugnuts, notching four homers, 40 RBIs and 41 steals. This was the Tampa native's third season in Midwest League; he had previously suited up for Lansing in 2009 and 2010.
Baligod, 24, was drafted out of Oral Roberts University in the 40th round of the 2011 First Year Player Draft. In 42 games this season with the Vancouver Canadians, Baligod was batting .259 with one homer, 25 RBIs, 26 walks and a .374 on-base percentage.
The Lugnuts' roster comprises 25 active players, with three players on the Disabled List and one on the Temporarily Inactive List.
