Kenny Brooks Succeeds in ECHL

Kearney, Neb. - Former Storm Captain Kenny Brooks inked an ECHL deal with the Colorado Eagles (ECHL) and contributed immediately, potting assists in consecutive games. The assists were Brooks' first professional points.
In six games with Colorado, the Penn State graduate has two assists and a plus-3 rating. The Eagles have the second-best record in the ECHL.
In the AHL, goaltenders Pheonix Copley and Adam Wilcox played both games for their clubs over the weekend. Copley helped the Chicago Wolves earn one point Saturday against the defending Calder Cup Champion Cleveland Monsters. Meanwhile, Syracuse Crunch netminder Wilcox needed eight saves in relief to best the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, 5-3. The Crunch sit first in the North Division.
Most colleges have hit the holiday break, but Michael Vecchione provided another gift for Union College. The NCAA goal scoring leader scored his 18th of the season, the game-winning goal, and the Dutchmen defeated Vermont to finish up the pre-holiday schedule.

Following the holiday break, the Storm is at Lincoln on Wednesday, December 28 and hosts Sioux City for "Light the Night: Shining the Light on Child Abuse" on Thursday, December 29 at 7:05 p.m. Presented by Royal Family Kids, there will be a free postgame skate after the game.
On December 31, the Storm hosts an early New Year's Eve Game, a 5:05 puck drop, against the Lincoln Stars on $1 Beer Night, presented by Bud Light. Party with the Storm against its rivals before the ball drops.
