SEATTLE, Wash. - Manneh Kekuta scored a hat trick as Seattle Sounders FC (15-10-6, 51 points) fell, 4-1, to Vancouver Whitecaps FC (12-11-9, 45 points) Wednesday night on the Xbox Pitch at CenturyLink Field. Mauro Rosales scored Seattle's lone goal as Sounders FC remain in second place in the Western Conference.

Manneh opened the scoring in the 12th minute when Daigo Kobayashi headed him a ball behind the defense and the striker finished past the onrushing Michael Gspurning.

In the 42nd minute, Young-Pyo Lee played a long ball down the right side to Camilo, who one-timed a pass to Manneh running full speed into the box. The Gambian striker cleanly finished into the net for his second goal of the half.

Manneh completed the hat trick in the 54th minute when he got behind the defense again on a short pass from Kobayashi and finished with a low shot past Gspurning.

Rosales pulled Seattle one back in the 69th minute. Alonso fired a rebound attempt that was saved to the feet of Rosales, who calmly finished low into the corner of the net. It was the fourth goal of the season for Rosales, marking a new career-high and tying Brad Evans for fourth on the team.

Nigel Reo-Coker made it 4-1 in the 82nd minute when he got into the open field on a counter attack and finished from a tight angle for his first MLS goal.

Sounders FC finished with a 21-7 shot advantage, including 7-5 on goal, and took eight corner kicks to Vancouver's one. Lamar Neagle finished with a team-high four shots, forcing Whitecaps FC goalkeeper David Ousted to make crucial saves in the 29th and 88th minutes.

After coming on in the 60th minute, Patrick Ianni hit the crossbar seven minutes later with a strong header from a Rosales corner kick.

Clint Dempsey came on for David Estrada in the 51st minute, marking his first appearance since a 2-0 win over Salt Lake on September 13.

Steve Zakuani made his first appearance since April 20 when he came on for Andy Rose in the 79th minute.

Sounders FC returns to action this weekend with a Sunday night matchup at Portland. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. PT at JELD-WEN Field and will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
