Detroit Drive News Release

NASHVILLE (Sept. 7, 2005) - The Nashville Kats arena football team has reached an agreement with Velocity Sports Performance of Cool Springs to administer off-season training programs for its players, announced Jay Brown, co-owner and business director of the Velocity franchise. While exact financial terms were not disclosed, Brown did say that Velocity will provide Kats players with a 32-session training program in exchange for a sponsorship package with the Arena Football League franchise.

"We're excited to add the Kats to our client roster," said Brown. "Just as with our male and female high school athletes, NFL players, professional soccer players and elite amateur athletes, our goal will be to increase the Kats' speed, power and agility and reduce risk of injury to help them win football games."

Kacey Wells, sports performance director at Velocity, will work with the Kats coaching staff to develop a custom training program based on the needs of arena football players. Wells holds multiple degrees and certifications in athletic training and has 10 years experience working with college and professional athletes.

As part of the deal, the Kats players and coaches will conduct a spring skills clinic for high school football players at Velocity's 19,550 square-foot facility on Seaboard Lane in Cool Springs.

"Velocity is known nationally as an authority in sports performance training and having a Velocity franchise in Middle Tennessee is very valuable," said Bob Flynn, Kats general manager. "Our priority is winning football games and we want to make sure our players arrive for training camp in peak physical condition. Velocity has the expertise, equipment and facility to help our players maximize their athletic capabilities. We think this will be a very beneficial partnership for both parties."

Velocity's facility, which opened in March, includes a four-lane, 60-yard indoor sprint track, 30 yards of artificial turf and full size basketball court. Other features that will be used by the Kats include weight training areas and aerobic exercise equipment as well as speed training equipment.

The Kats' 2006 season begins in January and season tickets are currently on sale by calling (615) 565-4700 or online at www.katsonline.com.
