Rome, GA - The Kannapolis Intimidators topped Rome 11-2 Saturday evening at State Mutual Stadium before a crowd of 4,134.
Selby Zavala cracked a line drive RBI single in the second giving Kannapolis a 1-0 edge. The Intimidators added two more runs in the third on a wild pitch to score a run and Brandon Dulin's single to plate their second run. A five run sixth by Kannapolis put them in control of the game, highlighted by Mitch Roman's two run single and Micker Aldolfo's two RBI double for the 8-0 score. After the Intimidators added another run in the eighth, Rome scratched the scoreboard in the bottom of the inning on Anthony Concepcion's triple to score a run and Randy Ventura's RBI single, making it a 9-2 game. Kannapolis crossed the plate twice more in the ninth for the 11-2 final
