Kamloops, BC - Connor Ingram made 36 saves in a first star performance backstopping the Kamloops Blazers to a 3-2 victory over the Calgary Hitmen on Monday afternoon at Sandman Centre.
The Blazers, who snapped a four-game losing streak, jumped out to a 3-0 lead on goals from Matt Revel, Colin Shirley and Gage Quinney.
Calgary countered with markers from Radel Fazleev and Jake Bean.
The Hitmen outshot Kamloops 38-24 in the final stop of a four-game BC road trip that saw the club post a record of 1-2-0-1.
Both teams were blanked on the powerplay with Calgary going 0-3 and Kamloops 0-2.
The Hitmen, 31-20-1-2, will now return to the Scotiabank Saddledome on Friday, Feb. 12 to open a two-game homestand against the Red Deer Rebels. Game time is 7:00 p.m. for the Lunar Celebration which includes fortune cookie prizes and post-game fireworks. Calgary will then host the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Sunday, Feb. 14 at 4:00 p.m.
