K-Wings Strong Recalled To Worcester

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League, announce forward Dean Strong has been called-up to the Worcester Sharks of the American Hockey League.

During the regular season, Strong has earned 37 points (16 goals, 21 assists) in 34 games with Kalamazoo, which includes recording a point in all 16 contests Strong played at Wings Stadium.

In the playoffs, Strong earned three points (1 goal, 2 assists) in five games for the K-Wings.

Strong will join the Worcester Sharks, who are currently in the Calder Cup Playoffs against the Lowell Devils in the Atlantic Division Semi-Finals. The Sharks trail the Devils one game to none in the best-of-seven series, with game two scheduled for tonight.

Heading to the AHL for the second time this season, Strong played in 16 regular season contests this season for the Sharks amassing five points (2 goals, 3 assists) in 16 games.

Strong becomes the 28th call-up from the K-Wings this season to play in the AHL.
