Juniors Lose In Shootout

The Montreal Juniors mounted a furious comeback to tie the score in the third, only to fall short in the shootout. Montreal's comeback began with Dylan Anderson's eighth goal of the season unassisted at the 4:53 mark of the third. Montreal's other markers in regulation came from Xavier Ouellet and David Rose who tied the score with 12 seconds left and the Montreal goal empty. Shawinigan goals came from Jean-Francois Plante, Gabriel Lemieux and Michael Bournival.
Benjamin Casavant sealed the shootout victory for Shawinigan in the fourth round of the shootout.
Montreal goaltender JF Berube turned aside 27 of 30 shots in regulation and his Shawinigan counterpart, Gabriel Girard, faced 36 shots from the Juniors.
NOTES: Montreal continues it's road trip with a game Thursday in Rimouski. Montreal's Louis Leblanc scored a short handed goal in Canada's win versus the Czech Republic in Buffalo on Tuesday night.
