HONOLULU - Josh "Zeus" White has been named the national Ironman of the Week Tuesday by the arenafootball2 office. The Hawaii fullback/linebacker gained 52 yards rushing on nine carries and racked up six tackles on defense, which includes a pair of sacks and a forced fumbles.

The Ironman award recognizes the top arenafootball2 player who plays both offense and defense.

White was accountable for three Islanders' touchdowns and for his efforts was named the MVP, Ironman and ADT Defensive Player of the game in Hawaii's 39-38 win at San Diego last Saturday. No other Islander has ever won all three awards in a single game.

“Both teams gave great effort out there and thanks to our defense and Zeus who played an outstanding game," said Islanders' head coach Cal Lee shortly after the win.

White leads the team in rushing with 40 carries for 181 yards and 11 touchdowns. On defense, he is sixth in total tackles with 17.5 and a team leading four forced fumbles.

Hawaii remains atop the West Division at 9-3 and will host the Midwest Division leading Quad City Steamwheelers this Saturday at the Blaisdell Arena. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
