Additionally, the lucky bidder will receive four grandstand tickets and will be able to watch batting practice from the warning track at Fenway Park. This once in a lifetime opportunity was donated by the Boston Red Sox.

Reddick, 25 years-old, had a breakout season with Oakland in 2012 appearing in 156 games hitting .242 with 29 doubles, 32 home runs, and 85 RBI leading the Athletics to a post-season appearance. He earned a Rawling's Gold Glove Award for his defense in right field in 2012 and was named the American League Player of the Week for the week ending September 4, 2012. Reddick was acquired by the Athletics from the Red Sox on December 28th, 2011 in a deal that sent Andrew Bailey and Ryan Sweeney to the Red Sox in exchange for Reddick and two minor leaguers. Reddick spent parts of three seasons with the Sea Dogs (2007-2009) and previously attended the Sea Dogs Hot Stove Dinner and Silent Auction in 2010.

Nixon had a 12 year Major League career including ten seasons with the Red Sox, where he was a key member of the 2004 World Series Championship team. He was drafted by the Red Sox in the first round (7th overall) of the 1993 First-Year Player Draft. As a minor leaguer in 1995 and 1996, Nixon played against the Sea Dogs at Hadlock Field as a member of the Trenton Thunder; then a Red Sox affiliate. Nixon appeared in 1,092 big league games where he hit .274 with 137 home runs and 555 RBI. Nixon had a career best year in 2003 where he hit .306 with 24 doubles and 28 home runs. In Game Three of the American League Division Series that year with the Red Sox facing elimination, Nixon delivered a pinch-hit two-run homer in the 11th inning lifting the Red Sox to a 3-1 victory. Nixon's Red Sox career came to an end in 2006. He spent the 2007 season with the Cleveland Indians and the 2008 season with the New York Mets before retiring in the spring of 2009.

All proceeds from the dinner and silent auction will benefit the official charity of the Portland Sea Dogs'; the Strike Out Cancer in Kids Program. The Strike Out Cancer in Kids Program was established in 1995 to raise money for the Maine Children's Cancer Program.
