San Jose Giants News Release

San Jose, CA- On Saturday, October 8, 2016 the San Jose Giants will take part in the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer's disease, the Alzheimer's Association - Northern California and Northern Nevada Walk to End Alzheimer's. Fans are invited to join our San Jose Giants family and walk with us on Saturday and/or make a donation to help save the future for millions like us.

"Several people on our staff, including myself, have been personally affected by this terrible disease," said Juliana Paoli, San Jose Giants SVP of Communications and Chief Marketing Officer. "This is the perfect opportunity for all of our fans to show the community and the Alzheimer's Association just how Giant we are by helping raise awareness for this important cause."

It is not too late for you to form your own team or donate to the event and cause. Visit the Walk to End Alzheimer's Website to learn more information and start your fundraising. Together, we can advance research to treat and prevent Alzheimer's, and provide programs and support to improve the lives of millions of affected Americans.

"As a committee member for the San Jose Walk to End Alzheimer's, the cause is obviously important to my family and me," said Jeff Di Giorgio, San Jose Giants Group Sales Manager. "To expand the San Jose Giants connection with the Alzheimer's Association is extremely gratifying, and we look forward to continuing the relationship we started in 2015 with a great Alzheimer's Awareness Night during the 2017 season."

The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with us. Please help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure.
