Kinston Indians News Release

Kinston, NC - Plug in your computer machines and stay connected with the Kinston Indians. The K-Tribe is now on Twitter at twitter.com/kinstonindians and if you haven't already, sign up to follow the Kinston Indians on Facebook.just search Kinston Indians at facebook.com.

"Contrary to the warnings contained in films such as 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Terminator, Eagle Eye and Short Circuit 2, people continue to use computers more and more," said Director of Twitter and Other Things That Don't Require Human Interaction Chris Hemeyer. "I mean with computers in control of our bank accounts, missile systems and traffic grids what could go wrong? I can't pull up a spreadsheet and play music at the same time without my laptop crashing, but I'm sure the government has a fancier computer."

K-Tribe fans will love the Twitter updates during the season to keep them updated on scores, upcoming games and promotions.

"The K-Tribe decided to hop on the Twitter train for many reasons, but keeping our fans in the know with up to date information is the biggest one," said Hemeyer. "A close second was to start earning favor with our future computer/robot leaders before they start the Great Cleansing of Air Breathers."

The Indians will also continue to expand and update the team's official facebook page, keeping fans up on the latest K-Tribe news.

"When my junior high band teacher friend requested me a couple of years ago, I figured facebook was here to stay and we needed a page," said Hemeyer. "Just to reassure the public, we will continue to post only important updates. Although I love reading facebook status reports from friends such as "Boy it's hard to get back to work after the Holidays", "Hawaii is beautiful", "Done with gym, headed to lunch", "Raiders Suck" and "Yikes, little Sam is teething", we will try and keep our updates under control."

As always, the best place in cyberspace to go for K-Tribe news, schedules, tickets and more is kinstonindians.com, the official website of the Kinston Indians.
