JetHawks Begin Postseason Wednesday at the Hangar

LANCASTER, Calif. - The JetHawks begin postseason play by hosting Game 1 of the South Division Mini-Series on Wednesday, September 9 at The Hangar. First pitch is 6:30 p.m.
After earning a wildcard spot and clinching a playoff berth for a franchise-best fourth consecutive season, Lancaster will take on the High Desert Mavericks in the best-of-three opening series. Game 2 will be played at Heritage Field in Adelanto on Thursday, and Game 3 (if necessary) would be at Heritage Field on Friday.

This will be the fifth playoff matchup between the JetHawks and Mavericks all-time. The two clubs played in the 2012 South Division Finals when Lancaster beat High Desert in four games and went on to win the franchise's first-ever California League title. This year's series is the minor league version of the Lone Star Series, featuring the High-A affiliates of the Houston Astros (JetHawks) and Texas Rangers (Mavericks).
If the JetHawks advance to the South Division Finals they will visit the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes this Saturday and Sunday before returning home to The Hangar for Game 3 on Monday, September 14 and Game 4 (if necessary) on Tuesday, September 15. Game times for both games would be 6:30 p.m.
