November 21, 2016 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Kitchener Rangers News Release

The Ontario Hockey League announced today that Kitchener Rangers winger and Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Jeremy Bracco has been named the Pioneer Energy OHL Player of the Week for the week ending November 20 after recording five goals and five assists for 10 points in just four games played with a plus/minus rating of plus-8.

He has registered at least a point in all 19 games he's played for the Rangers this season, upping his point total to 40 (16G, 24A). His season-long point streak is the longest by any player in the OHL during the 2016-17 campaign.

The 19-year-old from Freeport, NY began the week with an assist in the Rangers' narrow 4-3 loss to the London Knights at the Aud on Tuesday. He followed that up by registering his second career hat trick as well as an assist for a four point effort in Kitchener's 7-4 road win over the Peterborough Petes on Wednesday. Bracco chipped in with an assist on the game winning goal on Friday night to help guide the Blueshirts to a 3-2 win over the eastern conference leading Oshawa Generals, then rounded out the busy week with another four point game - two goals and two assists - in a 6-3 win over Midwest Division rival, the Guelph Storm, on Sunday.

In his second season with the Rangers, he follows up a campaign which saw him tally 21 goals and 43 assists for 64 points in just 49 regular season games. His assist versus the Oshawa Generals on Friday was his 100th career regular season point in a Rangers uniform.

Over the span of two season, he has registered 37 goals and 67 assists for 104 points in 68 regular season games played, as well as three goals and 11 assists for 14 points in nine career post-season games with Kitchener.

He currently sits tied for fourth in goals (16), tied for fourth in assists (24), and third overall in points in the Ontario Hockey League with 40.

Bracco's offensive success has helped guide the Rangers to a 14-7-0-1 record, which currently sees them third in the competitive Midwest Division standings with 29 points.

This is the second time Bracco has been named the Pioneer Energy OHL Player of the Week; the first being Week 4 of the season from October 10 - October 16. That week he was also named the CHL Player of the Week.
