Jay Langager is back with Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, official ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, have signed D Jay Langager (LONG-aw-ger). The announcement was made by Head Coach Marty Raymond.
Langager, 28, has played partial season in both 2006-07 and 2007-08 with the Condors while completing his education at the University of Lethbridge. During his time with Bakersfield, he has skated in 29 regular season and 13 playoff games. Last season, he had eight points (3g-5a) in 25 games, and was tied for the team lead with four assists in six Kelly Cup Playoff contests.
The 6-foot-1-inch, 190-pound native of Loreburn, Saskatchewan has skated in 236 professional games in his career since turning pro in 2001-02. He has 16g-70a-86pts and 194 penalty minutes in his pro career, playing with Greenville, Johnstown and Bakersfield in the ECHL, and Chicago and Saint John in 14 American Hockey League games. He spent two seasons at the University of Lethbridge, where he earned Top Player and Best Defensemen honors in all of Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) men's hockey in 2006-07. He was also an assistant coach with the Pronghorns in 2007-08 prior to joining the Condors.
Langager will don his familiar number 6 in the lineup tonight, with rookie D Tom Morrow switching to 36.

"Jay is a very good, steady defenseman who is going to help us out," said Raymond. "He is physical, can play the puck, and he will also bring leadership to our team as well."
AFTER ROAD TRIP, CONDORS RETURN HOME TO GIVE AWAY 1,000 GALLONS OF GAS:
The Condors start a three-game series in Victoria against the Salmon Kings tonight, with matches on Friday and Saturday at 7:05 p.m., and a matinee on Sunday at 1:05 p.m.

The Condors return to the Mercy & Memorial Hospitals Home Ice on Friday, Jan. 9 and Saturday, Jan. 10 for a pair of games against the Alaska Aces. Jan. 9 is the 1,000 Gallons of Gas Giveaway, sponsored by My 45 and KUZZ 107.9, during which 40 fans will win 20 gallons of gas, while one grand-prize winner will get 200 gallons of gas! Please note, this game was originally scheduled against the Phoenix RoadRunners.
The next night, Saturday, Jan. 10, the Condors host the Aces, for the Zamboni Pillow Giveaway, sponsored by Pirate 93.1 and Goodwill Industries. The first 2,000 fans, 5-and-older, will receive a Condors Zamboni pillow!
Individual game tickets are on sale and may be purchased through the Rabobank Arena Box Office, which is open from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday with extended hours on game days.
