Jason Lockhart Hired as New Voice of the Syracuse Crunch

Syracuse, NY (July 7, 2010) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have hired Jason Lockhart as their new radio and television play-by-play announcer. Lockhart will broadcast games on the Crunch's new radio home, The Score 1260, as well as all televised games on Time Warner Cable Sports.

Lockhart, 27, comes to the Crunch from the ECHL's Bakersfield Condors, where he served as a play-by-play broadcaster, color commentator and media and community relations manager during the 2009-10 season. Prior to his time in Bakersfield, Lockhart spent three seasons as the website/publications coordinator for the NHL's New York Islanders from 2006-09.

A native of New York, NY, Lockhart started his career by completing an internship for hockey broadcasting legend Stan Fischler, working as an editor for the weekly 'Fischler Report' during the 2005-06 campaign.

Lockhart received a bachelor's degree from Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont in 2005, where he served as the play-by-play broadcaster for the school's Division III National Champion Men's Ice Hockey Team.

In addition to his role as the club's broadcaster, Lockhart will have sales and community relations responsibilities.

Season tickets for the 2010-11 season are now on sale and can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473- 4444, or by stopping by the Crunch office in the War Memorial at Oncenter, located at 800 South State Street in downtown Syracuse.
