James, Major, McNeal Earn All-Showcase Honors

BAKERSFIELD, January 14, 2013 - The NBA Development League today announced the 2013 All-NBA D-League Showcase Teams, which features three Jam players: Damion James, Renaldo Major and Jerel McNeal.
James, now with the Brooklyn Nets following a GATORADE Call-Up, was named to the 2013 NBA D-League Showcase Second Team after averaging 21.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.0 blocks in two games at the showcase. Major earned a spot on the Honorable Mention list after averaging 17.5 points and 4.5 rebounds for the Jam. McNeal also earned a spot on the Honorable Mention list after averaging 22.5 points, 6.0 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals.
Fifteen top NBA prospects were selected to the All-NBA Development League Showcase First, Second, and Third teams, as selected by a panel of NBA Scouts and NBA D-League personnel following the four-day, 16-game NBA D-League Showcase that took place last week in Reno, Nev.
Top prospects and NBA alumni Luke Harangody (Fort Wayne Mad Ants), Jerome Jordan (Reno Bighorns), Jeremy Lamb (Tulsa 66ers on assignment from the Oklahoma City Thunder), Shelvin Mack (Maine Red Claws) and DaJuan Summers (Maine Red Claws) were selected to the First Team for their efforts at the Showcase.
James was named to the All-Showcase Second Team alongside Austin's Cory Joseph, on assignment from the San Antonio Spurs, Reno's Marcus Landry, Sioux Falls' Dexter Pittman, on assignment from the Miami Heat, and Texas' Chris Roberts comprise the Second Team.
