James Called Up for AHL Playoffs

Bakersfield, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors have announced that rookie LW Connor James has been called up to the Manchester Monarchs, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings.

This is the third time this season that James has been recalled, having just completed his first pro season in the ECHL with Bakersfield. James finished tied for fourth on the Condors in scoring during the regular season with 46 points in 51 games. He tied for fifth overall and first among ECHL rookies with four shorthanded goals and was also first among rookies with six shorthanded points. His +25 was third among rookies and third on the Condors as well. In the playoffs, James finished tied for the team lead with three goals and four points in Bakersfield's five-game elimination at the hands of the Alaska Aces.

James represented the Condors in the 2005 Coors Light ECHL All-Star Game in Reading, PA. He has played in 14 games with Manchester this season, recording two goals and three points with a +3 and 10 penalty minutes. At 51-21-4-4 and 110 points in the Atlantic Division standings, the Monarchs have claimed the top seed in Eastern Conference and will host the Providence Bruins in a best-of-seven series that starts Friday.

Coach's Show Finale is Tonight!

Fans will have one last chance to come out to the "Condors Coach's Show" for the 2004-05 season. The show takes place tonight at the Holiday Inn Select next to the Rabobank Arena from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tonight's show will feature Head Coach Marty Raymond and players D Chris Twerdun, C Sylvain Deschatelets and C Kevin St. Jacques. There will be prizes and drink specials from the Q Street Bistro. The "Condors Coach's Show" can be heard live on KGEO "Hot Talk" AM 1230 and is hosted by the "Voice of the Condors" Kevin Bartl.
