Bakersfield Jam News Release
(Bakersfield, Calif. - January 9, 2010) - The Bakersfield Jam has reacquired guard Lance Hurdle after his recovery from a sprained ankle, while releasing Longar Longar due to injury.
Before going down, Hurdle averaged 7.4 points and 2.1 assists in just under 23 minutes over eight games for the Jam (four starts). The former Miami Hurricane was also a defensive stalwart for Bakersfield, contributing 1.3 steals per contest.
"It will be nice to have 10 players in uniform," said Jam head coach Will Voigt. "17 straight days on the road can really wear a team down, and having just 8 healthy players only compounds that effect."
Longar was acquired in a December 21 trade with the Los Angeles D-Fenders and posted 4.8 points and 5.3 rebounds in four games with the Jam. His release comes as the result of a sprained shoulder and rib contusion.
