Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Minnesota Twins announce today that catcher Jairo Rodriguez has been transferred to the Fort Myers Miracle of the Florida State League. Brad Steil, Director of Minor League Operations for the Twins, announced the move.
In twelve games for the Kernels, Rodriguez hit .171 (6-35) with two doubles and two RBI. With today's transaction, the Kernels roster is at 23 active players, two below the MWL maximum of 25, with two players currently on the disabled list.
The Kernels have an off-day today and continue a 12-game road trip with a 7:00 pm game on Wednesday in Davenport against the Quad Cities River Bandits. They return to Perfect Game Field on Tuesday, May 14th to host the Burlington Bees.
