Oshawa Generals News Release

Oshawa ON. - The Oshawa Generals announced today that the team has traded overage defenceman Jacob Graves and a 3rd round pick in 2018 to the London Knights in exchange for 1998 born winger, Eric Henderson.

"Jacob came in here and had a great start and caught the attention of a number of teams. In his short time here he has passed on some leadership that will now have to be taken forward by some of our younger guys. London had expressed a lot of interest in Jacob and as difficult as this is saying goodbye to a player that has made a real big impact in a short period of time, this is a move that was made with the future in mind" says General Manager and Vice President, Roger Hunt.

The Barrie, ON native was first selected in the 4th round by the Mississauga St. Michaels Majors who are now the Mississauga Steelheads in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection. The overage defenceman has tallied 2 goals and 34 assists for 36 points in 250 Ontario Hockey League games played.

Coming back to the Generals in the deal is Eric Henderson. Eric is a 6'1, 182 lb left-winger from Kingsville, ON. Drafted in the 3rd round, 54th overall by the London Knight's in the 2014 OHL priority selection, Henderson has played in 20 career games for the Knight's registering 8 points.

"We are very happy to have Eric Henderson joining the Generals. He is coming from a winning program and will add further to our 98 class. He will be a welcomed addition to our lineup Thursday in Peterborough", says General Manager and Vice President, Roger Hunt.
