The Elmira Jackals play the final contest of a three-game homestand as they take on the Wheeling Nailers at 7:35 p.m. at First Arena.
RECAPPING OPENING WEEKEND
The Jackals took three of four points in their opening weekend of 2010, defeating Cincinnati, 7-3, on Friday before losing in overtime to the Cyclones, 5-4, on Saturday. Michael Dubuc had five goals and an assist in the two games, including four tallies on Saturday, to earn the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week title for Oct. 15-17.
SCOUTING THE NAILERS
Wheeling's two games to begin the season last weekend were mirror images of each other. The Nailers fell at home, 4-0, to Toledo on Friday before turning the tables on the Walleye with a 6-0 win on Saturday in Ohio. Goaltender Patrick Killeen was brought into the game before the second period on Friday with Wheeling trailing 4-0 and has not allowed a goal, making 47-straight saves over five periods to begin his professional career.
