Jackals Announce Playoff Roster

Elmira Jackals News Release


The Elmira Jackals announced their roster for the 2011 Kelly Cup Playoffs on Monday.

Elmira hosts the Greenville Road Warriors in Games 1 and 2 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals on Tuesday and Wednesday at First Arena.

Jackals fans have the opportunity to reserve their seats for the first six home playoff games this season by purchasing a playoff six pack, available by clicking here, by calling (607) 734-PUCK (7825), or by visiting the First Arena Box Office. This no-risk offer guarantees either a refund for any playoff games not played or a credit toward 2011-2012 Jackals season tickets. The six pack also offers a $2 discount per seat during the playoffs.

JACKALS SIGN MCDONALD

The Jackals announced on Monday that they have signed forward Ian McDonald to a standard player contract. The Jackals had claimed McDonald off of waivers on Saturday.

McDonald, a native of Edmonton, has skated this season with the Nottingham Panthers (EIHL) and the Florida Everblades. The rookie out of the University of Alberta (CWUAA) totaled 120 points (47-73) in his four-year collegiate career. McDonald was teammates with Jackals forward Dale Mahovsky at Alberta. Prior to playing college hockey, McDonald played five season in the WHL with the Tri-City Americans. In 2005-2006, McDonald led the WHL with 55 assists and was eighth with 92 points.
