Brian Barden tripled in the sixth inning extending his hitting streak to 12 games. He has hit safely in the most consecutive games of any Isotope this season. The third baseman's extra bagger doubled the Isotopes lead, 4-2.
Jose Dominguez made his second appearance in as many nights, pitching a hitless third of an inning. The righty struck out Kolten Wong with the bases loaded to preserve the 4-3 lead in the seventh. Lefty Kelvin De La Cruz pitched two scoreless innings of the relief, earning his third save of the season.
Right Fielder Chili Buss (2-for-4, RBI) and Barden put the Isotopes on the scoreboard in the first frame. Buss singled to left scoring Herrera and Barden walked with the bases loaded.
Albuquerque tacked on a run in the second but Memphis came back with two of their own in the third. Wong, the Cardinal's third ranked prospect, drove in the second run on a sacrifice fly.
