IRONPIGS EXTEND BROADCAST AGREEMENT WITH ESPN RADIO OF THE LEHIGH VALLEY

(Allentown, Pa.) - The Lehigh Valley IronPigs and Connoisseur Media have announced a three-year extension to their broadcast agreement, which began when ESPN of the Lehigh Valley became the flagship station of IronPigs baseball in 2009. ESPN 1160-1230-1320 AM will continue to be the source for live play-by-play coverage of all IronPigs preseason, regular season and postseason games - including extensive pre and postgame coverage - through the 2020 season. Additional terms of the extension were not disclosed.

"For the past nine seasons, we've been fortunate to be part of the regular programming of ESPN radio because it's undeniably the true sports voice in the valley," said Matt Provence, IronPigs Director of Media Relations & Broadcasting. "Our staff always strives to provide a first-class experience to IronPigs fans in all aspects of the operation; a goal which has been enhanced by our successful relationship with ESPN of the Lehigh Valley."

The agreement also calls for ESPN 1160-1230-1320 AM to broadcast the Triple-A All-Star Game along with the Triple-A National Championship Game for each of the next three seasons.

"In their 10 years, the IronPigs have become an integral part of the Lehigh Valley," said Tom Fallon, program director of ESPN 1160-1230-1320 AM and co-host of the Happy Hour. "We are excited to continue our relationship with one of the great organizations in minor league sports, and we look forward to bringing all the excitement of IronPigs baseball to our listeners for years to come."

ESPN 1160-1230-1320 AM's signal reaches Carbon, Lehigh, Northampton and Warren Counties with a potential to reach 700,000 adult listeners in the region. In addition, the IronPigs broadcasts will be accessible online at www.espnlv.com, www.ironpigsbaseball.com and via Minor League Baseball's First Pitch app.

ESPN 1160-1230-1320 AM is dedicated to local sports coverage, with exclusive coverage of Lehigh University football, basketball and wrestling as well as "The Happy Hour" - a popular daily call-in sports show. In addition to being a local sports leader, ESPN 1160-1230-1320 AM carries live play-by-play coverage of New York Giants football as well as the NFL Playoffs and Super Bowl and provides commentary and coverage of the entire NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament every March.

The team will continue to seek affiliates for the IronPigs Radio Network.

The 2018 IronPigs season begins at Pawtucket on Friday, April 6, with Opening Day at Coca-Cola Park set for Thursday, April 12, against the Louisville Bats.
