Iowa Energy Fall to Canton Charge

Des Moines, Iowa - The Iowa Energy (12-15) fell 87-83 to the Canton Charge (14-13) Saturday night at Wells Fargo Arena.

The Energy were led by Andrew Harrison with 24 points, four rebounds and five assists. Alex Stepheson posted his 19th double-double in the last 20 games with 17 points and 21 rebounds. The Charge were led by John Holland with 21 points and one rebound.

It was a fast start for the Energy opening up an 11-point lead over the Charge. Stepheson scored the first 10 points of the game for the Energy. 14 of Iowa's 24 first quarter points came in the paint. The Energy led 24-18 heading into the second. The Charge came back in the second, outscoring the Energy 33-19 to hold an eight-point advantage at halftime, leading 51-43.

Coming out of halftime, the Charge extended their lead to 15 points. Memphis Grizzlies assignee Jarell Martin scored 10 of the Energy's 21 points in the third. The Energy trailed 72-64 at the end of the third. Joel Wright scored eight points in the fourth to help Iowa come back. The Energy trailed by only two points in the closing minute of the game. The Charge scored a late basket with 2.3 seconds left on clock to push the lead to four and seal the win, 87-83.

The Energy travel to Texas on Wednesday and are back home Saturday, Feb. 6 at 7pm for Rotary Polio Plus night and 70's Night.
