Independent Panel Rescinds Harrison Red Card Discipline
NEW YORK - The Independent Panel, consisting of one representative from the United States Soccer Federation, one representative from the Canadian Soccer Association, and one representative from the Professional Referee Organization, has unanimously rescinded the one-game suspension and accompanying fine for the red card issued to New York City FC midfielder Jack Harrison for serious foul play in the 26th minute of NYCFC's match against the New England Revolution on October 15 (VIDEO).
As a result of the NYCFC appeal, Harrison will be eligible to play in NYCFC's next regular season match against Columbus Crew SC on October 22.
Each Club is entitled to two unsuccessful appeals per season, including playoffs. Since NYCFC's appeal was successful, the team maintains two unsuccessful appeals for any future dismissals in the 2017 season.
