MONCTON N.B. - The Moncton Wildcats announced today they have released forward Ilya Putintsev.
The Wildcats claimed Putintsev off waivers from the Halifax Mooseheads in mid-September to add to their forward group, with Mika Cyr still injured. Since then, he has appeared in the Wildcats lineup for eight games, during that time recording three assists.
"We appreciate Ilya coming in and helping us, we wish him well and thank him for his time here in Moncton", said Roger Shannon, Director of Hockey Operations.
