IFL 2016 Offensive & Defensive Players of the Year Revealed

Colorado Crush WR Demarius Washington has been named the 2016 IFL Offensive Player of the Year.
In 2016, Washington (6'5,210, Tyler Junior College) had one of the most productive seasons in IFL history from the wide receiver position. The Colorado wide receiver set a new single-season IFL receiving yards record with 1,223 yards. In the process he tied the league record for fastest wide receiver to top 1,000 yards, accomplishing the feat in just 12 games (2009, Jimmy Conner).
Washington went on to finish the season second in the IFL in receiving touchdowns with 25, second in yards per catch (15.1) and third in the league with 81 receptions. In addition he topped 100 receiving yards in five games, most in the IFL.
At the conclusion of the season, Washington was named First Teams All-IFL Wide Receiver.
*Defensive Player of the Year: Jermiah Price (DL, Cedar Rapids Titans)*
For a second consecutive season, Cedar Rapids Titans DL Jermiah Price has been named the IFL Defensive Player of the Year.
Price (6'2,244, Oklahoma State) helped lead the way for the Titans to again lead the IFL in total defense (200.2 ypg) and points allowed (39.3). Price and fellow Titans DL Xzavie Jackson helped the Titans continue to have the IFL's most furious pass rush as the duo combined for 43 sacks, most in the IFL.
Price would finish the season with 14 sacks, 24 tackles for loss, 60 total tackles, three forced fumbles, on fumble recovery one interception for touchdown, and one blocked kick. Price's 14 sacks were second in the IFL as were his 24 tackles for loss.
At the conclusion of the regular season, Price was named First Team All-IFL Defensive Lineman.
