IEC Security Measures Active at Barnstormers Games

DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers announced today that the enhanced security measures that were enacted by the Iowa Events Center in January will be active during all IFL games at Wells Fargo Arena for the 2016 season.
Barnstormers fans will see additional security measures that include size requirements on bags brought into the arena, new prohibited items, and hand-held wanding upon entering the arena. These enhanced security measures are intended to increase the overall safety of all Barnstormers fans and are in line with measures being implemented by the other professional teams at the Iowa Events Center and around the country.
"The Iowa Barnstormers take the safety of our fans seriously and believe that the measures the Event Center has taken will help provide a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone that supports our team." said Jeff Lamberti, President of the Barnstormers.
Fans may carry in bags that do not exceed 13" x 15" x 6". Bags exceeding this size are not permitted in Wells Fargo Arena, and those fans will be asked to return their oversized bags to their vehicles or discard them. This is in addition to the existing policy that all bags, purses, or personal items of any size are subject to search.
Wells Fargo Arena prohibits outside food and beverages, professional cameras (detachable/lenses longer than 6"), weapons of any kind (including permit to carry), chain belts, pocket knives and other hazardous or potentially dangerous items. Items are subject to change at the discretion of Wells Fargo Arena security personnel. Exceptions may be made for medical reasons after proper inspection of medical items.
Wells Fargo Arena is unable to store oversized or prohibited items. Fans are encouraged to leave unnecessary personal belongings in their vehicle or at their place of residence.
Wells Fargo Arena respects the privacy of its guests and enhanced security measures are used to prevent hazardous and prohibited items from entering the venue. These measures are being implemented in light of the changing world we live in.
Individual Iowa Barnstormers game tickets will be priced from $12.00 to $70.00 for regular season games. Fans should also remember that 2016 Barnstormers season tickets are currently on sale. Season tickets to all 8 home games are available for as low as $80 per seat.
