Chicago Wolves News Release

ROCKFORD, Ill.---Chicago Wolves goaltender Drew MacIntyre made 42 saves, but it was not enough, as the Rockford IceHogs blanked the Wolves, 1-0, at the Rockford MetroCentre Friday night.

Rockford (9-10-1-1) broke open the scoring off of a faceoff at 7:31 of the third period. Defenseman Brian Connelly received the puck on the point and passed it over to right wing Danny Bois on the boards. Bois ripped a shot through traffic before center Bracken Kearns picked up the rebound and found the open net for the lone goal of the game.

MacIntyre (5-6-0) made 23 stops in the second period alone to keep Chicago (8-8-0-1) in the game, but it was Rockford netminder Joe Fallon (4-4-0) who thwarted all 26 shots he faced to pick up the shutout win.

It was the third time in 10 starts that MacIntyre has held opponents to one goal, and just the second time this season that the Wolves have been shut out.

The Wolves head home for their first matchup in a five-game homestand tomorrow when they take on the Peoria Rivermen at the Allstate Arena at 7 p.m.
