Ice Flyers Offering Internship Opportunities

The three-time SPHL President's Cup champions, the Pensacola Ice Flyers, are currently looking for interns for the upcoming 2016-17 season.
Internships with the Ice Flyers provide a fun and unique atmosphere that challenges and provides opportunities to learn. Advancement in the organization is a possibility with two former interns currently part of the Ice Flyers' front office staff.
The positions available are Operations Intern, Ticket Sales Intern, and Merchandise Coordinator. Interested candidates may apply by submitting a resume along with a list of relevant coursework to info@pensacolaiceflyers.com.
Brief job descriptions listed below. Note that duties include but are not limited to:
Operations Intern
In-office preparation for games: coordinating sponsor and fan promotional activities, assisting with merchandise, participating in ticket and/or group sales Helping set up the arena for games: hanging banners and dashers, setting up Fan Services, labeling Chuck-A-Puck's, distributing radios and other materials Developing and distributing game materials including roster sheets, scripts, promotional signage Managing game day volunteers and promotional sellers Assisting volunteers with on ice activities Distributing schedules and other promotional materials Assisting and interacting with arena guests Assisting mascot during games and off-site appearances Increasing community awareness of upcoming events and opportunities
Ticket Sales Intern
Answering ticketing calls Performing ticket exchanges for season ticket holders Assigning group tickets Working front will call for first part of games Helping ticket manager maintain accounts Calling group leads and booking group outings
Merchandise Coordinator
Setting up merchandise before games Breaking down merchandise areas after games Replenishing inventory throughout games Helping manage merchandise volunteers Selling merchandise during games, in-office, and during community events Helping maintain inventory
