Knoxville, TN Trever Hertz had a goal and two assists, Berkley Scott had a goal and an assist as Knoxville beat Columbus 6-2 on Friday night. Luke Sandler, Danny Cesarz, Kyle McNeil and Jake Rivera had goals for Knoxville. Joseph Manno added two assists. The Ice Bears are 6-0-1 in their last seven games.

Knoxville killed off a series of penalties in the second period, which included a five-minute major to Cesarz. The Ice Bears were shorthanded for a total of 6:08 over a 6:41 stretch late in the period. Following the Columbus power play, Scott found Rivera in the slot, who broke a scoreless tie with 2:27 remaining to give Knoxville a 1-0 lead after two periods.

Scott and Hertz scored 43 seconds apart within the first two minutes of the third. Cesarz scored his first of the year less than three minutes later. Sandler's tally made it 5-0 at 6:09 of the period. The Cottonmouths responded with two unanswered goals before McNeil's power play goal put Knoxville ahead by four again.
