Huxley returns to Idaho from AHL

(Boise, ID) - Veteran forward Adam Huxley has been released from his American Hockey League contract and has returned to the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads.

Huxley, 27, was loaned to Chicago of the AHL in mid-February. He appeared in 18 games with the Wolves during the season, registering one assist and 57 penalty minutes.

The Wainwright, Alberta, native has skated in 32 games for the Steelheads this season. He has 14 points (four goals, ten assists) and 112 penalty minutes in his second season with Idaho. He also had a career-best plus-7 rating during the regular season.

Huxley will be with the team Tuesday night when the Steelheads open the ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs with Game 1 of their best-of-five series against the Las Vegas Wranglers. The game is at 8 PM (Mtn) and can be heard on KTIK (1350-AM). Fans can also attend a free "Watch Party" at the SportZone on the third floor of Qwest Arena in downtown Boise.

Playoff hockey returns to Qwest Arena on Friday, April 8, when the Idaho Steelheads and Las Vegas Wranglers clash in Game 3 of the best-of-five set. Tickets are on sale by calling the Qwest Arena box office at 208.331.TIXS or by visiting www.idahosteelheads.com.
