Hurricanes Defeat London Lightning in Game 4 of NBL Canada Finals

Halifax, (NS) - Halifax Hurricanes Basketball Club were in action Wednesday June 8th at the Budweiser Gardens for Game 4 of NBL Canada Finals against the London Lightning. Hurricanes defeated the Lightning 99-98.
Hurricanes and Lightning were tied after the first quarter 21-21, and in the second quarter the Hurricanes outscored the Lightning 26-23 - at Halftime the Hurricanes led 47-44. In the third quarter the Lightning outscored the Hurricanes 25-27, and in the final quarter the Hurricanes and Lightning tied at 27-27; the Hurricanes earned the 99-98 victory.
Guard, Shane Gibson led the Hurricanes with 20 points. Guard, Justin Johnson scored 17 points. Forward, Mike Glover scored 17 and grabbed 9 rebounds. Forward, Billy White scored 15 points. Centre, Kyle Hunt scored 12 points.
Guard, Akeem Scott led the Lightning with 26 points. Forward, Stephen Maxwell 20 points. Guard, Nick Okorie scored 12 points. Guard, Garrett Williamson scored 11 points.
Hurricanes Forward, Mike Glover made the final two free throws with 2.2 seconds remaining to give the Hurricanes an edge over the Lightning.
Hurricanes will play Game 5 in London on Friday. Hurricanes could win the league championship with one more victory.
