Huntsville Tops Florida In OT, 116-110

FORT MYERS, Fla., January 10, 2005 - The Florida Flame erased a 15 point, fourth-quarter lead, but it was not enough as Huntsville topped Florida 116-110 in overtime. Bernard King once again led all scorers, registering a double-double of 26 points and 11 assists for Huntsville (11-8). Point guard Jason Miskiri scored a career high 20 points and added seven assists for the Flight. Carl English paced the way for Florida (3-12) scoring 24 points, adding nine rebounds and three assists.

Down by three, Florida's Marcus Moore was fouled on a 3-point shot with 13.2 seconds left and connected on all three foul shots to send the game to overtime.

In the overtime period, Huntsville's Jason Miskiri connected on two 3-pointers and Florida missed their first seven shots as the Flight cruised to the six point victory. It was the first overtime victory for Huntsville, as they dropped their first two decisions earlier this season.

Kirk Haston and Hiram Fuller each recorded double-double performances in the loss for Florida. Haston scored 15 points and added 10 rebounds while Fuller scored 13 points and added 11 rebounds.

Damone Brown added 18 points, seven boards, and seven assists for Huntsville while Megnke Bateer added 14 points.

Florida now begins a 6-game road swing starting off with two games against the Roanoke Dazzle on Wednesday. Huntsville will play league-leading Columbus at home on Saturday.
