Houston Dynamo Announce New Hires and Promotions

HOUSTON - The Houston Dynamo continue to make advances under the leadership of new majority owner Gabriel Brener. These changes include new additions and promotions within the company.

The club has hired Lance Eversole as General Counsel, Zac Emmons as Sr. Director of Communications, Lexie Sidney as Director of Strategic Marketing, Kelsey Forbes as Marketing Manager, Christy Banegas as Accounts Payable Specialist, Edgar Veliz as Communications Coordinator, Kevin Lambert as Ticket Operations Coordinator and Jesus Zamorano as a Videographer.

Additionally, the Dynamo promoted Valerie Holland to Sr. Manager of Corporate Communications and Community Relations, Kevin Jackson to Business Intelligence Manager and Maricela Ramos to Coordinator of Community Relations.

Eversole was previously the Director of Legal Affairs for SMG at NRG Park. He has recently become General Counsel of the Houston Dynamo. Lance attended The University of Texas and University of Houston Law Center, is licensed in Texas, and was admitted to the roll of solicitors in England & Wales in 2011. Lance, his wife and two sons reside in Houston.

Emmons joins the Dynamo after working as the Director of Communications for Phoenix International Raceway for the previous two-plus years. Prior to moving to Arizona, he spent a decade in the National Football League, including seven years in the communications department with the Houston Texans from 2006-13.

Sidney is a native of Indianapolis and graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Sport Marketing and Management and a minor in Business. Prior to joining the Houston Dash and Dynamo as Director of Strategic Marketing in December, she spent three years with the Dallas Mavericks Marketing department. Lexie joined the Mavs as the Community Relations and Corporate Communications Coordinator and was promoted to Sr. Marketing Manager. She also completed internships in the NFL, NBA and MLB.

Holland joined the Dynamo in 2014 in the Premium Services department, and was recently promoted to Sr. Manager of Corporate Communications and Community Relations. Prior to joining the Dynamo Valerie spent 9 years working for Kroenke Sports and Entertainment, she began her career as a Customer Service Specialist and then moved on to the Coordinator of Community Relations for the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Rapids and Colorado Mammoth.

Forbes graduated from the University of Texas in 2012 with a degree in Public Relations. She interned with the New York Mets in 2012 for the Media Relations department. She has spent the last 3 years in Columbia, MO working as a digital advertising account manager.

Jackson was recently promoted to Business Intelligence Manager. Originally from Greentown, IN, Kevin joined the Dynamo in 2014 as the Ticket Operations Coordinator after graduating from the University of Louisville. Kevin previously worked for the KFC YUM! Center in Louisville, KY.

Ramos was recently promoted to Community Relations Specialist for the Houston Dynamo and Dash. She is originally from Houston, TX and is a recent graduate of the University of Houston. Maricela has spent the past 2 years working as a part time employee for Dynamo Charities and the Community Relations Department. She is excited to join us on full time basis for the upcoming season.

Banegas was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Before coming to the Dynamo she worked in the accounts payable department at Stream Realty, which is a property management company in Houston.

Veliz joins the Houston Dynamo and Houston Dash offering a diverse understanding of the media industry with experience in media relations, nonprofit communications, social media, and broadcast and newspaper reporting. Edgar has been recognized by the Houston Press Club for his writing and Houston Association of Hispanic Media Professionals for his academic achievement as a student at the University of Houston. Edgar will also act as the day-to-day contact for all Dash Media related questions.

Lambert is a Houston area native that came back to Texas to work after graduating from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Sport and Entertainment Management. He has a variety of event and ticket management experience from past positions with the San Antonio Scorpions and the Harris County Houston Sports Authority.

Zamorano is a soon to be graduate of the Art Institute of Houston with a degree in Digital Film and Video Production. He currently serves as an editor on Booker T's Reality of Wrestling airing on The CW. In addition to pro wrestling, he's also passionate about all sports, old films and retro music.
