Houston Dynamo FC News Release

HOUSTON, TX (Monday, November 14, 2011) - On Tuesday, November 15, the Houston Dynamo and Greenstar Recycling will celebrate America Recycles Day at the Dynamo Stadium site. Fans who bring at least one piece of recyclable material to the Dynamo table on the corner of Texas Avenue and Dowling Street will have their chance to take a commemorative photo in the new Dynamo Stadium.

Dynamo staff will be on hand to collect the recyclables (plastic bottles, aluminum cans, paper, or cardboard) from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Dynamo Diesel and Dynamo Girls will also be there to interact with fans. The 10 fans who bring the most amount of recyclable material to the drop-off table will receive a Dynamo jersey. In addition, the first 50 fans to drop off their recyclables will receive a commemorative Eastern Conference championship T-shirt. All recyclables collected will be added to the 14 tons already collected by Dynamo fans this year.

Greenstar Recycling became the official jersey partner of the Houston Dynamo in December 2010 and has already signed on to become a founding partner for the new Dynamo Stadium. Through their efforts, the new Dynamo Stadium will be one of the most environmentally friendly sports venues in the United States.

Currently on a five-game win streak and a nine-game unbeaten streak, the Houston Dynamo will play in their third MLS Cup final in six years on November 20, taking on LA Galaxy.

The Houston Dynamo are a Major League Soccer club that has won two MLS Cup championships in its first five seasons and represented the United States in international competition four consecutive years from 2007-10. For more information, log on to www.HoustonDynamo.com or call (713) 276-7500.
