Hounds Host 3rd Annual "Pink in the Rink" Event Friday

The Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club is proud to announce that they will be holding the 3rd Annual "Pink in the Rink" fundraiser in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation on Friday, October 5th when they play host to the Kitchener Rangers. Game time is 7:07 p.m.

The event is presented by the Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club in conjunction with the Northside Auto Group.

Fans attending the game will notice the Hounds in special edition "Pink in the Rink" jerseys on this night. The jerseys will be available for "blind auction" beginning at 5:45 p.m. until the end of the 2nd intermission. Fans wishing to bid can do so behind Section 117, with the starting bid for each jersey starting at $100. The jerseys are courtesy of Northside Auto Group.

In addition, the Hounds will also have "Pink in the Rink" t-shirts ($10 Adults, $6 Youth) for sale at the "Hound Pound", while bracelets ($3) and ICEd Pink pins ($5) will be available at the Marketing Table (Section 118) and donations will be accepted at that location as well.

Last year's event raised $20,642.73 which led to Megan Dubas (Director of Game Day Operations & Community Relations) being nominated and recipient of "New Community Event Organizer" at the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation Volunteer Awards Ceremony.

Tickets for Friday's game are on-sale now and can be purchased at the Essar Centre Box Office (Thursday until 5 p.m., Friday beginning at 10 a.m.), online at www.essarcentre.ca or by phone at 1-866-775-9422.

We hope to see you rinkside tomorrow night Sault Ste. Marie, as "Pink in the Rink" will raise funds for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
