Honig's Becomes Official Referee Supplier of MLL

January 15, 2018 - Major League Lacrosse (MLL) News Release

BOSTON - Major League Lacrosse (MLL) announced today that Honig's, the top provider of referee equipment and uniforms for over 30 years, will become the official referee outfitter of MLL beginning in 2018.

"The players in our league deserve the highest quality in equipment to perform at the highest level and referee equipment needs to meet that same standard," said Colin Keane, Lacrosse Operations Manager for MLL. "We are very excited to partner with Honig's, which has proven itself in the athletic community for a very long time."

Honig's, headquartered in Denver, Colo., home of the Denver Outlaws, has been providing gear for officials in nearly every sport played from the amateur level through professional leagues such as Major League Baseball since 1984. Founded by Dick Honig, a longtime football referee for the NCAA's Big Ten conference, and currently owned and operated by Greg Wilson, a veteran back judge in the NFL, Honig's will provide all MLL referees with their game day equipment including jerseys, shorts and warm up jackets.

"Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in the United States, and we are proud and thrilled to partner with Major League Lacrosse and its officials," said Greg Wilson, CEO of Honig's. "Honig's has led the way in officiating apparel for over 30 years, and our goal is simple: Ensure that officials look great on the field - and we are excited to watch MLL officials walk on the field every game in the best apparel in the industry."

Honig's joins WarDog Lacrosse, MLL's official provider of athletic socks, as a new equipment partner for the 2018 season.
