September 18, 2012 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack will kick off another home season at the Bayshore this Saturday when the Saginaw Spirit roll into town for the Bruce Telecom Home Opener!

Owen Sound finished 6th in the Western Conference last season, bowing out to the Kitchener Rangers in the 1st Round, however; the Attack are returning all of their roster from 2011/2012 with the exception of overage players Scott Stajcer, Jay Gilbert and Captain Michael Halmo. Dale DeGray made several off season acquisitions to bolster the roster, including overage defenseman Nathan Chiarlitti, 1st Round Import Selection Gilbert Gabor and goaltender Brandon Hope, who is expected to backup Jordan Binnington to start the season.

Fans are invited to take in the pre game action at the Bayshore with the Bayshore Broadcasting Charity BBQ for the United Way. The afternoon also includes free kids face painting, a draw for golf at Cobble Beach and limited edition Attack shirts for the first 100 fans to show their game tickets! The Charity BBQ will run from 5:30pm-7:30pm with the action getting underway inside at 7:25.

The friendly staff at Bruce Telecom will be on hand prior and during the evening's festivities to mingle with fans and to give out 2012/2013 Bruce Telecom magnet schedules. There is a limited number available and will be given out on a first come first serve basis.

Tickets for Saturday's game are available at the Owen Sound Attack Box Office in the main lobby of the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre, online at www.attackhockey.com or by calling (519) 371-7452.
