PREVIEW:
After a 6-2 win Monday night, The Red Wings are 3.5 games behind Lehigh Valley for the IL wild card playoff spot. The Wings will finish the season with five games against the IronPigs, including the final two home games here Thursday and Friday night.
The Chiefs allowed five ninth-inning runs as they lost to Pawtucket 9-3 Monday night.
LHP David Hurlbut (0-1, 2.70 ERA) makes his fourth start for the Wings. In his last outing, he pitched 7.0 innings at Norfolk 8/24 (no decision, 8 H, 2 R/1 ER, 1 BB/4 SO). Hurlbut was 7-7 with a 3.51 ERA for Double-A Chattanooga before his promotion to Rochester. RHP Reynaldo Lopez starts for the Chiefs. This will be Lopez's first start since August 7 against Scranton/WB. He pitched 6.0 innings in that game and allowed 5 earned runs. He faced the Wings on July 24 throwing a complete game shutout. He allowed just 4 hits and struck out 7 Wings.
