Rockford, Ill.- Points are at a premium and lately the Rockford IceHogs have had to work to earn them. After another third-period come-from-behind victory on Friday night, the IceHogs are right back at it tonight against the Peoria Rivermen at the BMO Harris Bank Center at 7:05 p.m. in an Illinois Lottery Cup showdown.

After battling back from a 3-2 third period deficit against the Chicago Wolves on Friday, Rockford now leads the AHL with nine third period comeback wins. Last night's win pulled Rockford within two points of the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. But a logjam has eight teams separated by seven points.
Jeremy Morin tallied the game winner last night and now has five goals over his last three games to lead Rockford with 24 tallies on the campaign.
Tonight's contest is the ninth of 12 between the Hogs and Rivs in the Illinois Lottery Cup series. After dropping the first two head-to-head matchups, the IceHogs have won five of the last six outings, including the last two by a combined score of 8-1.
After tonight,These two clubs won't meet again until April 6 after tonight when they begin a stretch of three-straight tilts to close out the season series with three games in five days.
Next Home Game: Wednesday, March 27 vs. Toronto Marlies. Game time is 7:05 p.m. Dollar Days return when the Marlies make their lone visit to the Forest City in 2012-13. Fans can take advantage of $1 beers, hot dogs, soft drinks and companion tickets.
