Hitmen with a 4-1 Win over the Rebels

CALGARY, AB - The Red Deer Rebels dropped a 4-1 decision in Calgary to the Hitmen on Friday night.

In the first period, the Hitmen scored the only goal, Carsen Twarynski popped home a rebound on a point shot and it was 1-0 for the Hitmen.

In the second period, the Rebels evened the game up with a goal by Adam Helewka. With the goal, Helewka now has a 9-game point streak. It was a 1-1 tie after two periods.

In the third period, the Hitmen made it 2-1 on a power play goal by Jake Bean. Carsen Twarynski picked up his second goal of the night to make it a 3-1 Hitmen lead. He also added an empty net goal to complete the hat trick and make it a 4-1 Hitmen final.

Rylan Toth made 37 saves in the Rebels net; Cody Porter made 30 saves in the Hitmen goal.

The Rebels were 0 for 1 on the power play and killed 3 of 4 shorthanded situations.

The Rebels are at home to the Tri-City Americans on Saturday. The broadcast on 106.7 The Drive begins at 6:30PM.
