EVERETT, WA - Rookie Pavlo Padakin had a goal and two assists to lead the Calgary Hitmen to a 5-1 win over the Everett Silvertips Friday night at Comcast Arena.
Jake Virtanen scored twice for the Hitmen who also got goals from Calder Brooks and Spencer Humphries. Victor Rask chipped in a pair of assists for Calgary who has now won back-to-back games to improve to 3-3 on their season high nine game road trip.
Mack Shields made 28 saves to pick up the win as Calgary outshot Everett 38-29.
Landon Oslanski had the lone goal for the Silvertips who owned a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes before the Hitmen scored five unanswered goals.
The Hitmen, third in the 12 team Eastern Conference at 35-16-1-3, return to action tomorrow night in Kent against the Seattle Thunderbirds. Internet Broadcast on www.sportsnet.ca/960 starts at 8:00 p.m. MDT.
